The chaiwoman of Yunn Provincial Women's Federation Investigated the base

The chairwoman of Yunnan Women’s Federation He Hongmei accompanied by Cheng Anrong, the chairwoman of Lijiang Municipal Women’sFederation, He Hongyun, the chairwoman of Yulong County Women’s Federation, thedeputy chairwoman of Yulong County Women’s Federation, Chenzhi, the viceprincipal of Baisha Naxi embroidery Institute and other leaders relatedinspected Jiuan immigrants’ village which is theethic embroidery base of Baisha Naxi Embroidery Institute on the 1st December, 2016.

Jiuan　is a very special immigrant village inherbited by Lishu,Baish,Naxi and otehr ethnic groups which concern the highdro-power pfojects of the upstreams of Yangtzi River.Since the farmlands were all flooded by the dams ,the farms who used to live along the river valley were all moved into Jiuan vallage with a big house but not enough land.In order to help the immigrants to get out of poverity and to improve their living conditions,Baisha Naxi Embroidery Institute cooperated with the women's federation,the immigrants's bureau,Human Resources and Social Security Bureau to train the femal immigrants ethnic embroidery skills,  to collect their finished embroidery works and help them to sale.BY this way, the immigrants' income get improved, and they all motivated to earn their living with their own artistic hands.

With the hard work of Baisha Naxi Embroidery Institute, there are over 200 ethnic women were trained and helped.6 people with physical problems were helped(two of them are male).

with almost 14 years twist and turns, the Institute now move on the right way and won the support and high praise of the women's federation,the immigrants's bureau,Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.And the scale of training and exhibition are all enlarged on different level.

For the great work on ethnic embroidery training ,culture promotiing and the help of the ethnic women,Baisha　Naxi Embroidery Institute was granted as "The Provincial Women's Handcraft Manufacture Demonstration Base","The Model of Women's Employment","The Ethnic Embroidery Training Base of Immigrants"etc. by the government

和红梅主席叮嘱丽江市、玉龙县妇联及相关各级部门一定要给白沙锦绣艺术院的手工刺绣基地及相关项目在各方面给予大力扶持和帮助，通过几年乃至几十年的时间让丽江民族手工刺绣及文化造福一方百姓。鼓励白沙锦绣艺术院要再接再厉，顶住经济、市场等各方面下行压力带动丽江少数民族妇女大胆尝试，开拓创新，争取更好的成绩和发展。  

                      白沙锦绣艺术院简介

白沙锦绣艺术院坐落在**的玉龙雪山下，世界文化遗产地----白沙古镇，是一座以保护、传承和推广丽江少数民族传统手工刺绣文化为宗旨的综合性艺术院。占地面积三千二百平方米，一进四院，由春和画廊、刺绣传承教室（书香锦绣、大家闺秀）、明清之韵、锦绣之韵、秦汉之风、院长版画苑、唐宋之雅七大展厅组成。艺术院邀请国际**纳西族画家、国家一级美术师张春和大师为艺术总顾问，**纳西画家和品正先生为东巴艺术顾问、中国国家文联艺术交流中心理事、云南**重彩木刻版画家徐云奎为院长，**刺绣家莫美艳为刺绣导师。

艺术院现有大师八名，老师十六名，专业及非专业学生两百多名。艺术院以保护和传承丽江少数民族刺绣文化为宗旨,以创新和开拓丽江少数民族刺绣文化为核心,以弘扬少数民族刺绣文化为己任。建立此学院的主要目的有三：（一）保护和传承纳西族及周边其他少数民族传统的手工刺绣；（二）教授当地的纳西族及周边其他少数民族妇女刺绣技艺，培养更多的以纳西族为主的少数民族刺绣传承者和接班人，争取把纳西少数民族刺绣发展成为当地的文化支柱产业之一；（三）保护、传承、发展和推广纳西东巴文化及艺术。

自建立以来，尤其是二零一五年开始积极响应省、市、县妇联、人社、文产办、移民局等相关部门号召，积极组织玉龙县各乡镇妇女进行传统手工刺绣就业技能培训，培养绣师近两百名。对培训合格的学员锦绣聘用或对其刺绣作品协议代销，为玉龙县各民族妇女脱贫致富另辟新路。现在为更好做好少数民族刺绣传承和文化推广、配合政府相关部门做好玉龙县脱贫攻坚还选派刺绣老师到玉龙县鸣音乡、九河乡、黎明等地进行培训和教学。在九河九安移民村成立白沙锦绣艺术院刺绣基地，在黎明成立白沙锦绣艺术院黎明傈僳族刺绣分院。

白沙锦绣艺术院近年来也积极参加省市各级组织的手工艺及文化宣传活动和赛事，艺术院绣师莫美艳、杨金凤、金秋、熊艳等绣师的刺绣作品在二零一五年云南文博会荣获两项银奖、二零一六年获一金一银，并于一六年六月参加由云南省宣传部、文产办等部门组织的上海“七彩云南国际民族赛装季”系列活动，为丽江刺绣文化做宣传和推广。二零一六年八月云南文博会两位年轻绣师入围云南“民间刺绣高手”，一名获评“民间刺绣高手”；艺术院纳西绣师杨金凤于二零一六年被云南工美评为“云南省刺绣工艺大师”；白沙锦绣艺术院绣师刺绣作品在云南职工创新创意成果展上获一金，两银，两铜奖项。为丽江民族手工刺绣及文化宣传及推广做出了巨大贡献。

因白沙锦绣艺术院近年来对当地少数民族刺绣的传承、推广及对当地妇女就业技能培训、妇女就业问题解决等方面的贡献被云南省妇联授予“妇女手工艺制作创业就业示范基地”，被玉龙县妇联授予“巾帼创新业示范基地”，被丽江市及玉龙县人力资源和社会保障局授予“丽江市大众创业人才培训示范基地”等称号。受到各级相关领导的重视，县、市及省级妇联、人社、教育部门领导多次白沙锦绣艺术院考察和指导工作，对白沙锦绣艺术院的工作给以高度评价和肯定。
